accumE's type is confusing and not generic enough and too generic about reactive-banana HOT 2 CLOSED

The type of accumE takes some time to get used to, but you will love it after a while.

The key point is that the type of accumELeft encourages you to create data types for different "message", i.e. data WhatCanHappen = MoveLeft Pos | MoveRight Pos, but it's actually much nicer to just write functions moveLeft and moveRight that directly operate on the state that you want to change or accumulate.
