Hans A. Winther's Projects

ast5220-cosmology icon ast5220-cosmology

This repository contains C++ templates for making an Einstein-Boltzmann solver (a CAMB like code). This is used for the course AST5220 "Cosmology II" at ITA Univeristy of Oslo. The aim of this course is for the students to learn how to do cosmology in both theory and practice by making their own Einstein-Boltzmann solver.

correlationfunction icon correlationfunction

Very very simple code to compute the radial monopole correlation function for data from a galaxy survey / mocks.

fml icon fml

A C++ library for working with particles and grids in a parallel setting.

hodtools icon hodtools

Contains methods to create HOD mocks from a (Rockstar) halo catalog and do fitting of the HOD parameters to give mocks with matching 2-point correlation function.

jordanbransdicke icon jordanbransdicke

This contains a patch for RAMSES to run any model that has a modified (relative to LCDM) H(a) and GeffG(a). We include a code to compute the background and scalar-field evolution of the simple Jordan-Brans-Dicke model.

mg-picola-public icon mg-picola-public

This is a modified version of the L-PICOLA code extending the COLA approach for simulating cosmological structure formation to theories that exhibit scale-dependent growth. It can compute matter power-spectra (CDM and total), redshift-space multipole power-spectra P0,P2,P4 and do halofinding on the fly. It can also include the effects of massive neutrinos on structure formation.

mpk_compilation icon mpk_compilation

Create one of the iconic figures in cosmology, from https://arxiv.org/abs/1905.08103 (thanks to Docker/Julia/Jupyter)

multigridsolver icon multigridsolver

A multigrid solver for general PDEs with periodic boundary conditions. Templated on type and dimension.

qubicspline icon qubicspline

Create simple Qubic Splines with direct lookup for regular (log, linear, etc.) spaced arrays.

ramsespatchapproxmgsolver icon ramsespatchapproxmgsolver

An implementation of the fast approximate method of Winther & Ferreira 2015 to perform N-body simulations of modified gravity models with screening on the chameleon type. Works for all models on the m(a), beta(a) type (Brax et al. 2012).

revolver icon revolver

Real-space void locations from survey reconstruction

testdata icon testdata

Test data used in examples of the FML library

victor icon victor

Python code for likelihood analysis and MCMC posterior sampling of void-galaxy cross-correlation data
