Hey @mrmarbury, this issue is dated and also not necessarily something that is on the roadmap right now. Session keepalive is something that would require a significant effort to implement and is not something that is in our plans for now or the forseeable future, I'm just going to close this issue. It's not out of the realm of possibility that we would add this in the future, but I don't want to let this issue linger.
Sorry for the (very long) delay in addressing this one!

Hey there, I know this issue was closed for some time but the topic fits and I don't want to open a new issue for this. So I'm writing about the same topic, session timeout. govmomi actually has a keepalive implementation (haven't tried if it works properly but looks like it should) so it would need really little implementation from you side.
