Hello there, my name is Gavin

I'm a husband, father, and security architect. I work at Microsoft.

I'm a senior security cloud solution architect and I work for Microsoft. In the late 90's I found myself administersting users in an NT4 domain. Little did I know this would take me on a journey through Active Directory, MIIS/ILM/FIM/MIM, Azure AD and onwards. Seen all kinds of merger and aquisition scenarios, highly secure architectures, transformation activities. Most notably I was at ground zero at Maersk when notPetya struck in 2017. That event is what set me on the course to join Microsoft in May 2021. These days I'm having all kinds of fun working with customers on their security challenges and continues to scream DO THE BASICS from every rooftop I can find!

When away from his desk I'm having a great time running, cycling, husbanding, and being a bad dad to three impressionable young minds, filling those heads with all kinds of goofy stuff.
