Note that using harmonize doesn't allow you to use es6 syntax in the gulpfile.js itself.

In the worst case, you can create alias in your .profile. But this does not solve the problem with an exit code

alias gulp='node --harmony `which gulp`'

from gulp.

Gulpfiles can just be run, they are JS. So if you are just running the default gulp task, add gulp.run('default'); to the end of your gulpfile and just use node --harmony gulpfile to run the file.

@phated Yep, that works. Though now I'm noticing that the exit code is still 0 even though my tests fail - I think there might be a problem with gulp calls. Will update this once I know.

@hiddentao Unless the plugin throws an error or explicitly calls process.exit(1) it's going to be 0. gulp has no idea what the status of your tests are. You'll probably want to ask the plugin author.

A better way would be to use harmonize. See: http://stackoverflow.com/a/28412779/115493
