I'm terribly sorry about the long delay, I haven't been checking my Github lately.

You need to name your aggregation so you can refer back to it in the response. You need to pass an associative list, like so:

(eclastic:get* es (eclastic:new-search (eclastic.query:match "HOST" "_all")
                                           :aggregations (list (cons "ip" (eclastic.aggregations:cardinality :field "IP-ADDRESS")))))))

It is a problem that the API is not particularly well designed or documented. In fact it's still in the prototype stage. I was intending to re-write it this winter, but I got busy with other projects. Let me know if you're still interested in using the library.
