Strange issue, drivers stop getting signals from the Arduino about grbl HOT 4 CLOSED

I have been doing some testing with usb comms and small modifications. One thing that could happen is that a partial usb string makes it thru, maybe with out any coordinates or only partial and an ok returns. In my testing version I have added a comms handshake that counts chars before sending string and arduino sends back count. If they match I then send msg to run line and then arduino returns ok. If char count does not match I cancel and resend the line.

Does any one else get occassional comm errors/do any error checking? I am not sure why I get some errors but I do.

I forgot to mention the Arduino I'm using is the Serial Single Sided so just plain serial no USB. However this could be a comms issue, too bad I just killed my Arduino so I cannot do any tests until it's fixed.
