is there any update on this issue. I'm encountering this in v0.9.0

I run into this in v0.9.2 as well

Prometheus-to-sd needs this metric as stackdriver depends on process start time for cumulative metrics. There is no intention to change this behavior
You need to check if your prometheus client library exposes it.
For prometheus/client_golang there was a bug: prometheus/client_golang#252

Well but while not wanting to change the exporter and not having that one metric, is there a way to override it's value with the pod start time?
