What exactly does not work? In particular:
- what steps to execute to reproduce it?
- what results do you observe?
- what results would you expect?

what steps to execute to reproduce it?
Have a file with the words - Developers
and developers
in the same order in 2 consecutive lines. Place the cursor on the first line and press * for forward search.
what results do you observe?
The cursors stays at Developers
. The count is [1/1]
.
what results would you expect?
It should move to the next line to developers
as I have set ic
in my .vimrc
. The count should be [2/2]
.

Ah, so this is related to the *
command... This is happening because the plugin reimplements *
and #
to work around some Vim issues. Please see the docs:
https://github.com/google/vim-searchindex/blob/master/doc/searchindex.txt#L31
You can configure case-sensitivity for *
(independently from the other search commands) through plugin options:
let g:searchindex_star_case=0
from vim-searchindex.
Thanks!
