Can't parse top-level strings about json-sans-eval HOT 5 CLOSED

That's not valid JSON.

According to RFC 4627
2.  JSON Grammar

   A JSON text is a sequence of tokens.  The set of tokens includes six
   structural characters, strings, numbers, and three literal names.

   A JSON text is a serialized object or array.

      JSON-text = object / array

So the top level production for valid JSON must be an object or an array.

I looked at the JSON.parse spec in ES5 and apparently JSON.parse does not start 
with
the JSON-text production.

But the method jsonParse() takes more time to parse than eval() in chrome & 
firefox...
any speed enhancement coming up?

This library is not meant to be faster than eval.  It is meant to be secure in 
the
face of data from an untrusted source.
