This will be fixed in a new version of Jaxopt and init_params will no longer be required.
It is Ok to do what you did and it is the intended behavior: when the initial KKT solution is unspecified BoxOSQP choses one for you (with x=0). Other KKT solutions may be useful with warm start, for example if you solve a sequence of similar problems. Let me know if you have any question !

I just released version 0.3.1 which should now set init_params=None by default. Please run pip install jaxopt :) Please reopen if the issue is still present.
