bummer.. this is still an issue. the api does not indicate that the width of the 
legend can be adjusted as such the only way to lengthen the width of the legend area

is to increase the pie chart area.  
if there is a fix, would be great to find it.

I believe this is fixed in the corechart package. Also, there's a new 'chartArea' option
to control the amount of whitespace around the chart.
