There are also:
U+2715 MULTIPLICATION X (Dingbats)
U+2716 HEAVY MULTIPLICATION X (Dingbats)
as well as:
U+00D7 MULTIPLICATION SIGN
Should we unify 2-B53 with U+2716?

e-B51 HEAVY PLUS -> HEAVY PLUS SIGN
I agree.
e-B52 HEAVY MINUS -> HEAVY HYPHEN-MINUS
Considering this is intended as an arithmetic sign, I would vote for "HEAVY
MINUS SIGN" following U+2212 MINUS
SIGN
e-B53 HEAVY TIMES -> HEAVY MULTIPLICATION SIGN
It might be reasonable to unify this with U+2716 HEAVY MULTIPLICATION X
(Dingbats). However, on the other hand
these four arithmetic symbols comprise a set of basic four arithmetic symbols.
If so we might want to keep this as a
separate arithmetic symbol. In that case I agree "HEAVY MULTIPLICATION SIGN"
would be reasonable following
U+00D7 MULTIPLICATION SIGN.
e-B54 HEAVY DIVISION -> HEAVY DIVISION SIGN
I agree.

So far we seem to have consensus on
e-B51 HEAVY PLUS -> HEAVY PLUS SIGN and
e-B54 HEAVY DIVISION -> HEAVY DIVISION SIGN
Kida-san proposes e-B52 HEAVY MINUS -> HEAVY MINUS SIGN
and I agree.
Kat asks "Should we unify 2-B53 with U+2716?"
I think we should.
Kida-san, there is no problem with keeping these a set, even if only three
characters
are new. Their code points would not all be adjacent, but we can
cross-reference
between them. This is much better than having both a "heavy multiplication
sign" and
a "heavy multiplication x". We could add "heavy multiplication sign" as an
alias to
the existing character.

Will be making the changes as suggested by Kida and Scherer shortly. Scherer's
last
comment addresses Kida's concern about unifying e-B53 with U+2716 (HEAVY
MULTIPLICATION X: Dingbat).
