It looks like you should be able to do that from AllocationRecorder.addSampler.

You'd have to be very careful, though, because constructing the Throwable is itself an allocation, so you have to figure out how not to recurse, as discussed in Sampler's Javadoc.

I think that comment (from 2008) may have been superseded by a change (from 2009), which uses a ThreadLocal to determine if an allocation is in progress:

Probably worth checking, though.
