Note: you can edit your posts, and it's not necessary to open a new issue to fix misspellings ; )

Now to the point: current_user is a Devise method. Did you install Devise correctly? (I mean: are you able to sign in with any other Devise strategy?)

The Simple Token Authentication gem depends on Devise. And even if you decide not to fallback to other Devise strategies when token authentication fails (fallback_to_devise: false), Devise must be properly installed. See also: #42

Hi @gonzalo-bulnes , thanks for the followup.
we run into more mystery with the gem, and eventually wroth the token_authentication from scratch.
i think that the documentations are missing in case of developing an API and still using the plain app routes with devise.
