Project is to solve a thread synchronization problem using semaphores in C. Testing solutions is automated using Python and Bash scripts that allow for layered test options. The description/specifications, base code, and solution for the project are included. The readme describes the details of the test options, but in short the main test code is a Python script that applies a suite of many test cases to the output of 1 solution program run. There is a 2nd layer Python script that catches rare stochastic synch errors; it runs the 1st many times and gives a % failure rate. There is also a folder with examples of output that would fail each test case in the suite, and a bash script that runs the main Python test script on all of those example output files so you can see what the error messages would look like in each case, without having to compile or run any of the C code at all.
