BuddyPress about lifterlms HOT 3 OPEN

Can BuddyPress be used with LifterLMS in the same way BBPress is able to have its access restricted by Lifter Membership?

If BuddyPress group is a Pubic Group, any site member can automatically join the group. With the same Lifter type restriction in place, the user would be redirected back to the membership option, and once membered up be able to return to group and auto join.

I'm just trying to work out how to provide enclosed learning environment to class members across BBPress and BuddyPress group functionality.

currently the buddypress integration is very limited and only adds llms content to the buddypress profile pages

we intend to beef up the buddypress (and bbpress integrations) but haven't done so yet
