The password mode authorization receives the callback function: func(username, password string) (userID string, err error), you can verify the username and password and return the user ID. I don't know if this answer can meet your needs?

It did. I found a working example here: https://github.com/go-oauth2/oauth2/blob/ec34d93e769ae22c48edca0a9c61fb1744ff9a30/server/server_test.go#L143-L150
