will do, thank you for your help
from example.
In theory (with the C libraries), it is definitely possible. I'm not sure if it's also possible with the Go wrappers, but it might be.
Have you tried calling MakeContextCurrent
on each window before calling its gl
commands?
from example.
@shurcooL thanks for the tip! I'll give that a shot, but it doesn't seem to be possible to have 2 concurrent contexts unless i make the rendering blocking.
from example.
Yes, I think you won't be able to have concurrent contexts. I believe only one can be active at a time, and I'm not sure if you can get around that.
I am only 70% certain of that though, and there may be differences in capabilities between the C versions and the Go ones. It might also depend on the environment (operating system, etc.).
from example.
I am new to OpenGL. It seems that it isnt common practice to use more than one context, even if using multiple windows, esp in terms of using resources like textures, shaders, etc.
from example.
Yeah, it would make sense to use a single context and multiple windows.
BTW, I'd recommend asking general OpenGL questions in a better suited location than here, since this is just an issue tracker for the examples repo. I'd guess stack overflow is the best place for questions, although there may be other good places for OpenGL-specific ones.
