Found following:
- GSLPRPrinter -- dummy printer does not have a realistic device definition.
- PPD -- Parsing needs to be improved in NSPrinter.m

It also appears that we are unable to create page layouts and margins within the Page Layout interface.

Very possible. Printing has been somewhat neglected over the years.

On several of my systems (but not all) "Page Layout" issue "Could not load page layout panel resource". Without further details and without an exception that can be catcheed and debugged.
I don't know yet why only on some systems.The problem should be fixed or, at least, more informative messages should be logged and/or given!

I think what you need to do is to open a new issue and reference it here. I don't think that GitHub supports child issues or "subtasks" the way Jira might.
