Ran into this issue as well on Windows. The above fix worked (although it will break it on Linux). Just to provide more info for anyone else seeing this, the file to make the change in is config.js in the root directory of the app you create using brunch w -a

Would be nice if we could come up with a way to support both Windows and Linux without requiring the path change. With previous Ember build tools I always had to resort to pushing my code on save to a Linux virtual machine to get it running. This is the first time I can just do it all on my main OS which is nice.
