githug hint will point you in the direction of git bisect

Good luck.

Broken for me also. There's no refs directory in https://github.com/Gazler/githug/tree/master/levels/bisect/.githug

In fact it's documented here: #63

Until the issue is fixed, you can git init in the directory as a workaround. This solves the problem.

Could someone who is having the issue please tell me the following:

Operating system
ruby version - ruby -v
gem version - gem list | grep githug

from githug.

thameera avatar thameera commented on July 17, 2024

I'm using Cygwin in Windows 7.

$ ruby -v
ruby 1.8.7 (2012-06-29 patchlevel 370) [i386-cygwin]

$ gem list | grep githug
githug (0.2.6)

Also recreated in Ubuntu 12.04.

$ ruby -v
ruby 1.8.7 (2011-06-30 patchlevel 352) [i686-linux]

$ gem list | grep githug
githug (0.2.6)

from githug.

Alright, this looks like an issue with 1.8.7

The good news is, if I can replicate it, I can fix it!

from githug.

Gazler avatar Gazler commented on July 17, 2024

This should be fixed in the 0.2.7 version of the gem.

Thanks for the feedback. Closing the issue now.

benwh avatar benwh commented on July 17, 2024

I don't think it was a 1.8.7 issue, it wasn't working for me with 1.9.3 on Arch x64, however this commit fixes it
