Since MSSQL server has not fully supported in SQL queries, you need to define your custom SQL queries for MSSQL in the [sql] section.

However for 64 bit version of gammu-smsd.exe version 1.33.0, I see the [sq] section is not affected. Please double check this issue!

You should use SQL = mssql, that should give at least basic compatibility.
