Hi,
This is unfortunately by design. The Frida SDK has been built with the v120 toolchain since the VS2013 upgrade, as I assumed there wouldn't be any demand for continued XP support. This is fixable by rebuilding the SDK with the v120_xp toolchain. My only concern is regressions going unnoticed (I don't have any XP systems), but if you feel like being Frida's XP maintainer I'd be happy to revive the XP support. :)

I looked at it for a bit but seems like a huge task. Windows XP is dead anyway (out of support), so there is no point in maintaining it. Thanks for your help though.

It's not much work once the build system is set up (I have a system where it is, so it shouldn't be too much of a pain). So just let me know if you think it's worth maintaining and we can revive it any time. The only potential use-case I can see is for security researchers wanting to analyze malware specifically targeting XP because of its current EOL status.
