I used to fuck around with OSX on a virtual machine to compile glualint there. Not only was it slow as fuck, even on a high end laptop with 16GB RAM and an SSD, one day it just stopped being able to boot.
With binaries supplied from other people, I run the risk of distributing versions of glualint that contain malware. In that case I reckon it's better if people on OSX compile it themselves.

Maybe you could include some basic build instructions then, for people unfamiliar with package managers (brew & cabal etc.) it might be much harder to get this to build.
