Black screen is fixed by an upcoming commit (to be noted here), where PlayerVarious has a key energyRecoveryTime instead of the correct key energyRecveryTime. No idea why this causes a logic loop that consumes max CPU usage for an indeterminate period of time.
Up next is the strange Japanese text ("Defeat 10 Enemies!") mission success dialog that seizes the game on the clicking of the OK button.

Aforementioned mission success message was due to PlayerState.DailyMissionID being 0.
Committing a fix ASAP.
