Unfortunately, it seems Reddit as a PWA is broken and doesn't follow the specification, so FirefoxPWA cannot parse it properly.

I think the problem is that its manifest contains some shortcuts items that use relative URLs. According to the spec, shortcut URLs should be parsed with "manifest URL as the base URL" and the resulting URL should be within the scope. However, because Reddit manifest is on a different domain than main website, they will be parsed with the wrong URL as a base and fail required checks.

This cannot be fixed easily without violating the specification and potentially breaking other websites. However, you can uncheck "Use the manifest for determining app properties" when installing PWA, and Reddit should be installed correctly (but without few additional features, such as shortcuts).

I closed this issue because it is a problem with Reddit and not FirefoxPWA.

It seems other browsers (Edge) also have problems parsing Reddit manifest (it doesn't add PWA shortcuts) but they just ignore the error and try to parse what they can. FirefoxPWA is instead more strict and displays the error and only falls back if you explicitly disable PWA manifest on installation.
