Thanks for opening an issue!

If you just want to use the mustache template engine you can use package:mustache_template directly rather than using mason.

import 'package:mustache_template/mustache_template.dart';

final template = Template('Hello {{ name }}!');
final output = template.renderString({'name': 'Dash'});
print(output);  // 'Hello Dash!'

Yeah I sure can use mustache directly, but the point of this suggestion is that with that render method exported, we can use the same template engine, including all the defaults and configs that Mason declares, programatically, so the same template that we use on the command line, can be used on code too.

Maybe this is outscope of mason though?
