We would be happy about any contributions if you are interested in helping to maintain this plugin. This module hasn't been updated in three years and is not actively maintained at the moment. There are plans to bring it up to date eventually but the core team only has very limited resources available so any contributions will help to make it happen sooner.

You might want to consider putting that on the project's GitHub front page; no point in people thinking the library is active if it isn't.
