Thanks Bill.
Happy to look at this, if you wanted to work on it together. How would you want the output to appear? The package does: model fitting -> extract results -> condense results -> add metrics.
Model fitting could be left within nlme, extraction could be done with broom::tidy() if appropriate (package wasn't available when I wrote the original extraction functions), meaning we could focus on producing condensed results for final publication. How should those appear?
Could you give some guidance using e.g.

fm1 <- lme(distance ~ age, data = Orthodont) # random is ~ age
fm2 <- lme(distance ~ age + Sex, data = Orthodont, random = ~ 1)
summary(fm1)
summary(fm2)
