What operating system are you using?
How are you connecting to your EV3?

Im on windows 8 and im using the usb (PC) port on the ev3. I have tried both the internet-connected and not internet-connected ways.Both MobaXTerm and VSCode ssh work.

I was seeing this too but couldn't isolate it. I don't think I found a workaround.

Hmm ok. It worked just once out of 100-150 tries but nothing was changed. I have no idea either.

I've opened HxD to look further into this issue. It seems that it happens bc of vslsShare, which is the live share extension. Im going to disble it and tell how it goes!

YEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAH that was it! it was a problem with live share. Since that extension is a widely-used one, i suggest that you pu this bug and the solution on the troubleshooting page so others dont have to go through what i have.
