Draw tool [enhacment] about viewer HOT 6 CLOSED

I'm not sure I understand what this request is asking for. Are you asking for a tool that will allow application end-users to draw graphics on the map?

indeed i am. integration of the draw tool bar (https://developers.arcgis.com/javascript/jsapi/draw-amd.html) with some super sweet color pickers (set prior to or after creation with context menu (https://developers.arcgis.com/javascript/jssamples/graphics_contextmenu.html)) would be rad.

Thanks for the additional info. I'm struggling to see how we adding the draw toolbar would work for the generic template. If we added the toolbar and users added graphics to the map you'd need custom app logic in order to do anything with the graphics. Did you have a particular use case in mind?

Use case is really just basic map markup. draw some polygons, points, lines, or labels. Area/ length labels would be cool. Including them in the print function would be nice and being able to save them out to a file and being able to load them would be a nice extra.

I was not planning on using them to query, summarize, as inputs to a GP tool or anything fancy.

Does that help with the basic utility of such a tool?

@RoboDonut I think it is functionality that is too specific to add to the template at this point. Might be a good reason for you to fork this repo and add the functionality?
