So I did what you suggested and it wasn't doing anything and #acfg#
showed it wasn't loading the discord config file. HOWEVER, what it did show was that it was loading the linux config file. I didn't realize it couldn't load more than one config file simultaneously. So I think a work-around, or possibly the intended behavior is to use multiple filter_<xxx>
statements in a single file.
I have tried this with my linux setup and it seems to be working. I have made a config/discord_linux.yml
and a config/discord.yml
with the only difference being that the former has two filters and includes both my _linux and _discord match files and the latter has one filter and only includes my _discord match file. I have not had a chance to try it out on my windows PC but am hopeful ill get the behavior I desire.

I'm still puzzling over your problem.
Although my includes:
work fine (Linux Mint 21.2, Xfce), while exploring the issue I find I can't demonstrate a difference between that and extra_includes:
. The former loads my regular expansions too, which it shouldn't.
When you have time, it might be interesting to see if your app-specific config is doing anything, by adding some of the options to your /espanso/config/discord.yml
, to increase, say, inject_delay:
or pre_paste_delay:
by a factor of 10 or 100 (depending on which backend you're using), to see if they affect the speed of your normal expansions in Discord.
