That's odd.

  - regex: =zapmel\((?P<value1>.*?),(?P<value2>.*?)\)
    replace: "{{result}}"
    vars:
      - name: result
        type: shell
        params:
          shell: powershell
          cmd: echo {{value1}}+{{value2}}

works fine here (Windows 10 VM). Is there something going on in your script which is interfering?

The regex match + cmd string works completely fine, but i'm asking if there's any way to auto select an option within the dropdown menu that appears between outputting the cmd string, or returning the result ( as displayed in the video linked ).

I don't see anything in your code that would trigger a selection box, which leads me to wonder if this is a duplicate trigger resulting in a Match Disambiguation event?
