ESP8266 WIFI attempts about esp-wifi-sys HOT 2 CLOSED

Task switching is probably a bit easier since 8266 doesn't include the windowed registers feature.

Next would be to port https://github.com/espressif/ESP8266_RTOS_SDK/blob/master/components/esp8266/source/esp_wifi.c and https://github.com/espressif/ESP8266_RTOS_SDK/blob/master/components/esp8266/source/esp_wifi_os_adapter.c and see what the linker will complain about - probably there will be a lot of missing functions which just need to be implemented like we do here: https://github.com/esp-rs/esp-wifi/tree/main/esp-wifi/src/compat

With two years left until EoL, and the drop in replacement of the esp32c3 already supported, we've decided to start dropping esp8266 support across esp-rs. We've archived the hal and pac crates, but they can still be forked if you wish to attempt adding wifi support: https://github.com/esp-rs/esp8266-hal.
