I am afraid this is likely happening because of your specific implementation and not because of a problem in the library, as I just verified that the library works when used with the navigation component. I have tested a few cases:

• Navigating to a fragment with the form.
• Navigating from a fragment with the form before the form is completed, and then back.
• Navigating from a fragment with the form after the form is completed, and then back.
• Combinations of the above, plus some "quick navigation" between fragments.

Judging by the exception you are getting, it is clear that something is failing in the restoration process, but I am not sure what the specific cause might be. Would you mind sending a sample app where the error is reproducible? That would be very helpful.
