Good point. I definitely want to make cross-compiled projects work smoothly.

I'll take a look at this tonight and get back to you. Thanks!

@fhunleth Once you get this in place, it would be nice if you could write a blog post or something similar that goes over cross-compiling an Erlang project that uses relx, I think that would be beneficial to a lot of people, thanks!

Thanks for the encouragement and for being responsive to my questions. I'm
currently trying to get cross-compiling to work for a hobby project, but it
would be great to see some of this get broader use. The relx step is
actually one of the easier parts of the process. When I get the rest a
little more organized, I'll post a writeup and send you guys a note.

Yea. We just haven't supported that because we have not yet had a need. But it makes perfect sense.

Ok, finally took a real look at this and it is an easy addition :). May get it done tonight, if not then tomorrow.

Awesome! I'll be able to give it a try in a few days, but I'm sure it will work fine. Thanks a ton for being so responsive. Just out of curiosity, is there a preferred mailing list or other forum for discussing use of relx? I have a couple "best practices" questions that really aren't bugs or issues.

Great. For questions there are the erlware mailing lists, http://www.erlware.org/community.html, and the irc channel, #erlware on irc.freenode.net.
