P.S: If this is intended I would volunteer for a pull requests updating your Readme file explaining how to change the Icons based on my question above

Hello @Karlnow, I've been working in the rework of this project into Gatsby Theme. I merged the changes today, and add the documentation how to customize the icons with the new setup. It's excactly as I have implemented it too. It does work! Thank you for your awesome work, got me into web development again :)
I only saw your documentation though since somehow the master branch /src is empty.
