The implementations are nearly identical and I don't see any benefit provided by culerity's version. I recall the mail_cache_delivery plugin being recommended by culerity originally.. I don't know why they decided to add there own. I would suggest just installing the cache plugin as listed in email-spec's README. I don't see any problems in doing that and it would be the simplest solution. Getting email-spec to work with culerity's would not be too difficult but I don't see much value in doing it. That said, if you submit a patch I would merge it in. I think you would only need to add an extra conditional here:
