Well, I've compared the payload to expected format and aside from description being nil, all seems OK. The log clearly states that no projects have been found. There can be several causes, maybe the plugin flow can help:

• it looks for projects with SCM set to Git
• is must be buildable (saved and enabled)
• must match repo uri and branch, using the correct strategy (e.g. regular or inverse)

As far as I can tell, if you have any Git project that matches the payload url and is saved and enabled, you'd get in log the info whether the project matches the branch or not. Since this line (https://github.com/elvanja/jenkins-gitlab-hook-plugin/blob/master/models/gitlab_project.rb#L35) is not present, branch matching was not even called.

Hence, I'd check the Jenkins projects and especially Repository URL in Git settings.

GitLab was configured with localhost as ssh host, but the repo path was gitlabdev. Fixed that and now it works perfectly.
