I have the same issue. I don't get compiled my new own created addons and I don't get compiled that printer module. I've tried --target=5.9.0 with that version, this command works, but I still get the same error: Uncaught Error: The system cannot find message text for message number 0x%1 in the message file %2.

I have the same issue with zmq-prebuilt.
Though manually running npm rebuild zmq-prebuilt --target=1.1.3 --arch=x64 --dist-url=https://atom.io/download/atom-shell --build-from-source works.

The latest version has be rewritten so this should not be an issue any more
