Nope, they have always run in both configurations. My theory is that due to nature of unit tests testing individual methods, they aren't as susceptible to this problem.

Update: We have added the flag already in other tests, I just missed it. Ignore the original version of this comment.

@mark-vieira you are right, it is related with #108741. The issue is that this test is running as a release test and the feature flag is disabled. I thought the unit tests were only running as snapshot tests. Is this something that changed recently or were we that lucky so far?
