I was doing some runs (you can see the details in this #725 (comment)). Look at how much the error rate increases when the number of events increase:
I went to look and the exception that was in the cloudwatch logs was:
version conflict, document already exists (current version [1])
This is happening multiple times.

Is there a timeline on this issue? We have started to ingest cloudfront logs and see the same problems as well. Since standard SQS queues are at-least-once delivery, it may happen by design that logs are processed multiple times. IMO it is pretty save to just skip events which get a version conflict response from the server. Currently we end up with events spinning back and forth in replay and replay dlqs, causing a lot of unnecessary lambda invocation and burning ressources. I hope this problem gets fixed asap
