Strange, are you sure the bundle is registered in your AppKernel? The bundle registers the places automplete form type automatically...

@grekpg This git repository is the Ivory Google Map PHP 5.3 project (meaning it can be used in any PHP projects: Symfony, Zend, Laravel, CakePHP, ...). Now, you show me you are using the egeloen/google-map-bundle which is not this repository but the Symfony2 integration (https://github.com/egeloen/IvoryGoogleMapBundle)
Now, if you read the installation doc of the Symfony2 integration of this lib, you will see you need to register it in your AppKernel.
