You could just look at the changes made to the msvc2005 file and update it yourself.

Libjpeg was moved from renderer dependency to the main quake3e project

You can't comment out the jpeg stuff. Else the images won't load 😂

I left the loadjpg partly so the parts in like tr_image would still work. But I removed the saving and the screenshot parts. I was just trying a quick hack. What would be causing this to not compile right out of the box though? The unresolved external symbol errors in the original compile?

I'm working with vs2005 and mingw for now, vs2017 project files are outdated

Any idea when they'll ever get updated? It looks like it's only something to do with the jpgs. The last time I tried messing with mingw and that other one it took likes days of downloading this that and the other, trying to figure out how to get it to work, only to still not be able to get it to work. I miss the days when you could download quake3e source and it would compile in VS right out of the box. It was one of the few source codes out there that would just work like that.
