But I found if I add R_X86_64_GOTPCREL to build. It may cause kernel NULL pointer dereference. How can I fix it?

@wardenjohn : what kernel version and compiler version did you use to generate R_X86_64_GOTPCREL? When crashing the kernel, did it result in a "Unsupported relocation type" message? I don't see it handled by arch/x86/tools/relocs.c :: do_reloc64() so I'm not surprised that the kpatch module didn't load.

Oh, this kernel version is supported by PIE feature which is not include in the standard kernel version from the upstream. Maybe just because this kernel version is built with -fPIE leading to the R_X86_64_GOTPCREL relocation type.
