Using a car about realtime HOT 4 CLOSED

I guess this would be better to discuss with that mod's developer, because Real Time won't do anything about it. So I'm closing this issue as out of scope.

That sounds like it could be caused by other mods. For example, TM:PE recently had bug where cims wouldn't use public transport (result: lots more car usage), and it's settings (such as Parking AI) can also impact on car usage - it's recently been given a complete new pathfinder which could be indirectly affecting car usage. Then there's several "rebalance" mods that change whether cims own/prefer cars based on age, wealth, etc.

I don't think RealTime states how cims travel, it just tells them where to go to. The game itself (possibly altered by other mods) defines what type of transport they prefer.

Real Time doesn't affect how the citizens get to their destinations, as @aubergine10 mentioned. The citizens choose whether they drive by car, use public transport, bicycle, or walk using either the vanilla logic, or other mods. Do you use TM:PE or any other mods that might change this behavior?
