[Ziggo][1.1.1] Unable to use replay/movies/series about dut-iptv HOT 11 CLOSED

Confirmed (no Movies and Series part)

The movies and series check has been bugged for some time and will be fixed in 1.1.2.
You can enable Movies and Series from the addon settings after login to re-enable them and they should work from there.

If you are unable to play any streams (Live, Replay or VOD) this is probably a duplicate of #21.

After enabling the movies/series, they show in the list, but still the same error.
Just to be sure: the live TV works without problems.

Your issue does not seem related to the License problem in #21, so the chrome output does not help us along, as your problem seems to exist on a different part of the playback process.

Please follow the instructions on https://kodi.wiki/view/Log_file/Easy to enable debug logging and upload the log file after trying to play something from Replay TV using any of the mentioned options (the log file uploader addon seems easiest on an embedded system such as an Android box)

Unfortunally your log does not give any indication of where the problem lies.

Have you tried the solution of changing your dns server or hosts file as mentioned in #21 ?

I tried both the addresses (95.101.21.123 and 88.221.24.59) obo-prod.oesp.ziggogo.tv. no change.
however, I tried a tablet (android 8.1.0) and there kodi with ziggo just works fine. (Also without the dns-change)
Can the version of my android box (5.1.1) be the problem?

Wow thats a really old android version, supprised Kodi 19 even runs on that.
Yeah that could very well be the reason you are having problems.

I will probably not be able to change anything about your problem on the old box if you have no problems on a more modern android device with the same credentials

Android 5.x is the absolute minimum version newer kodi versions run on.
I would very much recommend upgrading to newer hardware.

As this issue only seems to exist on a platform that has not been supported by its Google for years I am going to close this.

I suggest considering upgrading to a TV box that is supported by LibreELEC or CoreELEC or running android 9 or newer. I personally recommend S905x3 boxes that support CoreELEC which are available on places such as geekbuying from EU Wherehouses for 30 euro
