The adapter should just work out of the box. What version of ember-cli are you using?

I'm using version 0.0.41. So far I've resorted to using bower to set it up manually. That seems to work.

I think there may be some upstream issues with the adapter and recent versions of ember-data. I am still looking into this.

@treyhunner this issue should be fixed in master, but you may have to upgrade ember-cli as well which comes with other issues of its own. we are working on it.
