It looks like the DemoApplication class (with main in it) got deleted.
Creating the directory for and copying https://github.com/dsyer/spring-boot-angular/blob/00abd91dfe946ce133356af5a3f27f6eb5944a91/src/main/java/com/example/demo/DemoApplication.java should fix the issue.

I was going to open an issue that there are no nada zero Java files in this project but you all were way ahead of me. Please see pull request #18 which adds this one file back using the version @WiteCastle suggests.
